After we finished churning the icecream, Pinkie took 5 huge scoops and plopped them in a bowl, drizzling hot fudge on it with a cherry on top. "It's on the house guys, I got the bits to cover this! Besides, consider this a reward for your hard work making that icecream!"

Fluttershy and I nodded as we sat down next to eachother in the booth, while Pinkie sat across from us. "Yeah well, I bet this icecream's gonna taste even better since I made it!"

Pinkie took a scoop in her mouth and shut her eyes and smiled. "Mmm! It's so creamy and perfect! You're right, Rainbow!"

I nodded with a confident smile. "You bet it is, now dig in guys!" I said, taking a big spoonful myself and popping it in my mouth. It had been a while since I've tasted icecream, this was like heaven. I turned to Fluttershy who wasn't eating, and instead staring at the icecream. I don't think Pinkie noticed her odd behavior as she just continued to eat.

I reached one of my back legs over to her's and played hoofsies with her under the table. She looked over to me and smiled. I nodded to her, then turned to Pinkie.

"Hey Pinkie, there's a reason why we're here." I began to speak.

Pinkie nodded, icecream in her face. "Yeah, to help me make icecream! Right?" she asked, licking her lips.

I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. No, Pinkie deserved to know. Fluttershy's hoof began to shake against mine. She was nervous too. I tried to calm her nerves by talking in a soothing and quiet voice to Pinkie.

"Pinkie...are you listening?" I asked, my voice becoming serious.

She continued to eat but wiped the icecream off her face, looking at me with a confused look. "Of course I am, Dashie! All ears!"

I began to lean forward, hoping I didn't have to say too much. Now Pinkie was dumb, but she didn't forget. "Remember...that..crush I told you about...?"

Pinkie nodded slowly. "Yeeaaahh.....?"

I popped another scoop of icecream in my mouth. "Well...." I turned to Fluttershy, smiling.

At first she didn't notice, but as soon as she did she smiled back, both of us blushing.

Pinkie remained silent for a few moments then burst into a loud "WOOHOO!" she threw her forelegs in the air and waved them around. "That's great! So it's official? Like official official?? For how long? When'd it start? Huh huh huh??" she asked, demanding to know.

I nodded and put my hoof up to calm her down. "Aha it's been about a month now, right, hun?" I asked Fluttershy. She nodded solemnly.

"_{Y-yeah..a month.}"

Pinkie's smile widened at the news. "Am I the first of all of us to know??" she asked, happily hopping up and down. We both nodded again.

Pinkie tilted her head. "Why not tell the others, they'll be delighted to know!"

I chuckled. "It was a struggle to get Fluttershy to even tell you" I said jokingly, spreading a wing out over Fluttershy.

She nodded slowly. "Y-yeah...ah Rainbow you didn't have to tell her that."

Pinkie spoke up. "Oh no no no no no! Nonsense! I'm not gonna tell everypony! You guys' secret is safe with me!"

After that conversation we continued to eat our icecream, and even though Fluttershy wanted desperately to drop the subject, Pinkie pressed on, asking more questions. I answered all of them, however, to save Fluttershy the embarrassment. Even infront of her best friend and girlfriend.

"So have you guys kissed yet??"

"Yep.."

"Was it a real kiss??"

"Yes, Pinkie." my patience was wearing thin at this point. Fluttershy's blush only grew with each passing question.

She leaned forward now, talking quieter. "Do you think you guys will be together...forever...???" she asked dramatically.

Fluttershy practically spit out the icecream in her mouth and I froze, my face flushing up. I looked to Fluttershy, but she avoided eye contact with me, guess I was on my own to answer.

"W-well Pinkie, that's not something you ask a couple that just started going out...ya know..?" I said, trying to explain that to her.

She looked at me, dumbfounded. "What are you talking about, Dashie?? It's been a month, that's like, FOREVER" she said, trying to explain her point to me.

I put my hoof to my forehead and sighed. "Ah...well thanks for the icecream, but we gotta get going. I'm gonna take Fluttershy home, okay?" I said, then looked to Fluttershy. She nodded. She seemed a bit on edge.

Pinkie nodded and smiled, taking the empty bowl with her. "Okie dokie lokie! Feel free to stop by anytime, lovebirds! I'll be here! Or there! Or anywhere!"

We both waved to her, exiting sugar cube corner.

It was a bit quiet, as we slowly flew back to Fluttershy's house. The conversation was light and short, but Fluttershy wasn't acting like her usual self. Well she was, but this wasn't her usual self around me.

As we arrived to her house, Fluttershy stood there for a few moments, looking down at the ground. "Rainbow..." she said to me, before I planned to make my leave.

I turned to her, tilting my head. "What is it, Fluttershy?" I leaned in to kiss her cheek, but she turned her head away. My stomach dropped.

"Dashie...what's gonna happen when you join the Wonderbolts?"

I remained silent. I wasn't sure how to answer it. What was she implying? I was so scared, I didn't know what to say. I simply smiled warmly at her. "It...it doesn't matter. We'll work through it when it comes up. Okay? It wont be for a while...we have time to think about what we can do. Okay?" I said to her.


She wasn't convinced at first, but as she let the words sink in she nodded, agreeing with me. "Y-yeah. You're right. We'll work through it. Together." she said, a small smile on her face.

I leaned in to kiss her and this time she didn't pull away. We gave eachother a short kiss on the lips and she went inside. I stood there, making sure everything was okay, before making my leave.

And for the first time in my life, I thought about my decision to join the Wonderbolts.

Don't get me wrong, I still wanted to. But now I had things I needed to worry about.

And by things, I meant the mare of my dreams.
